Rumormonger: Helio hires Goldman Sachs
As a Heilo subscriber all I have to say is, “Ugh…”
So far I’ve been pretty happy with my Ocean, yes the UI leaves something to be desired, but name a phone that doesn’t have a janky UI.
(And before you say the iPhone let me say two things as a new iPod Touch owner:
1. The keyboard is passable, but if I had to use that as my everyday txt messenger, I would throw it against the wall.
2. It’s only been about 5 days, and mobile safari has crashed on me about 6 times.)
What I really like about Heilo is the price point. I pay about $75 bucks a month for 450 mins (which I never even come close to using), and unlimited everything else. Try doing that with any other carrier and you’re probably going to end up near the $100 mark.
I knew what I was getting into signing up with a MVNO, and this is just a rumor for now, but I was hoping to at least get to the end of my contract before the whole thing went belly up.
