I tend to read a lot of “Inside Baseball,” internet sites like Mashable and TechCrunch, and it getting kinda sad how many social networking sites are popping up lately.
We have a social netowrk for coffee drinkers, dog owners, and even babies.
We’re getting to the inventble point when someone sets up a social networking site for people who like social networks.
We’re almost there with FriendFeed and iminta, pulling together your friend’s and your updates and the various sites, but I’m talking about a site where you go to meet up with other fans of social networks.
A “MetaBookSpace,” where you login and join the, “Users Of Myspace,” group and fight the, “Haters Of Myspace” group.
You know personally I have a hard enough time keeping up with the real life friends I have without trying to keep up with a bunch of people I only know because we’re in the, “I Like Bunnies,” group on Facebook.
This has lead Kreblog and I to come up with, “InYourFaceBook.” It will keep up with your friends without the messy need to ever talk to them or see them face to face.
An automated phone system will call your friends, and an automated message will say, “Hello. This is InYourFaceBook with your weekly update for, (insert name here). After the tone, please state your mood, location, and current activity. Beep.”
